David Kay OBE – Barrister and Partner, Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP (a United States law firm); Chairman of the British-American Business Council and Kingston Law School alumnus.

Mr Kay was called to the English Bar in 1979, after graduating from Kingston Law School with a BA (Hons) in Law in 1978. Since then he has lived and practiced law in England, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. He now lives in Chicago where he is a partner in the Chicago office of the Philadelphia-based law firm Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP. He has written on the legal and commercial aspects of investment and doing business in Europe and the Middle East and has published a book called Trading with America, A Practical Guide. He is a member of the London Court of International Arbitration; arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association, the International Centre for Dispute Resolution and the International Chamber of Commerce; Chairman of the British-American Business Council and Honorary Legal Adviser to British Consul-General in Chicago.
Mr Kay was awarded an OBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours List, in 2003, in recognition of his services to British business interests and the British Community in the United States.
