Hamish has been a solicitor since 1973 and a licensed insolvency practitioner since 1987. He is a partner in the London office of Norton Rose LLP, an international law firm, specialising in cross-border insolvency work involving legal jurisdictions throughout the world, and is a visiting fellow at Kingston Law School’s Centre for Insolvency Law and Policy.
Among many other appointments, Hamish is a former president of the Insolvency Lawyers Association and is currently Chairman of the City of London Law Society Insolvency Committee. He is also a professional member of the Insolvency Practices Council and author, contributor, editor or consultant editor of numerous articles and books on insolvency law. He earned his LLB (Hons) at Kingston University in 1969.
